You may be able to agree on a \nsolution informally between you.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eFormal grievance\u003c/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf\n the matter is serious and/or you wish to raise the matter formally you \nshould set out the grievance in writing to the club Secretary. You \nshould stick to the facts and avoid language that is insulting or \nabusive.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhere your grievance is against the Secretary, or you \nfeel unable to approach them for some reason, you should raise your \ngrievance with the President, Chair or another member of the Exec \nCommittee.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eGrievance hearing\u003c/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe \nSecretary (or another Exec committee member) will call you to a meeting \nwith a sub-committee of exec committee members, normally within five \ndays, to discuss your grievance. You have the right to be accompanied by\n a governing body representative, or club member of your choice, at this\n meeting, if you make a reasonable request.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter the meeting the \nSecretary (or another Exec committee member), will give you a decision \nin writing, normally within 24 hours.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf it is necessary to gather\n further information before making a decision the Exec Committee member \n(usually the Secretary) will inform you of this and the likely timescale\n involved.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eAppeal\u003c/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you are \nunhappy with the sub-committee’s decision and you wish to appeal you \nshould let the Exec Committee member (usually the Secretary) know.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou will be invited to an appeal meeting, normally within five days, and your appeal will be heard by an exec committee sub-committee of committee members who were not previously involved in the case. \u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou\n have the right to be accompanied by a governing body representative, or\n club member of your choice at this meeting, if you make a reasonable \nrequest.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt the appeal, the sub-committee will review:\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003eall information previously presented previously\u003c/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003eany new information made available to them\u003c/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003eany disciplinary penalty imposed.\u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter the meeting, the sub-committee will give you a decision, normally within 24 hours.
